What is the difference between Ultra-Bond Plus and Block-Out?
The Block-Out formula was developed based on the successful advanced resin technology of Ultra-Bond Plus, but includes a masking agent (opaquer) to successfully block-out staining on teeth. When you need a 3+ shade shift, this is the product of choice! The beauty of Block-Out is the simplicity of eliminating the additional step of shade modification.
Is it necessary to remove .5 mm of tooth structure in order to have room for the Block-Out between the teeth and the LUMINEERS?
Because Block-Out combines the luting cement with the masking agent, there is no need for extra room for the material to sit. Therefore, no removal of sensitive tooth structure is needed!
Can Block-Out be used with other veneers on the market?
Block-Out is compatible with any type of porcelain veneer. However, only the combination of Block-Out and LUMINEERS by Cerinate gives you the opportunity to mask dark stains without requiring removal of healthy tooth structure.
What type of stains will Block-Out cover?
Block-Out is available in four bleaching shades: Supreme White, B0, B1, and A1. Block-Out is the product of choice when you need a 3+ shade shift and is ideal for tetracycline and flourosis cases, and any other type of dark stains.
Is there a Try-In Paste included in the kit?
There is a corresponding Try-In Paste included for each of the four shades designed to simulate the fully cured result of the Block-Out.
What people say!
“My first LUMINEERS patient had C4 or darker teeth and I was concerned that the porcelain would not cover that dark teeth. I used Block-Out to help cover the dark stains under the very thin LUMINEERS. When the patient looked at her new smile in a mirror, she started crying and said, “This is the most beautiful thing she has ever seen!”
“I was just floored by my brother’s new look. I placed LUMINEERS on his top teeth with hardly any prep, Which was great for my brother. There were 3 old crowns which I put LUMINEERS ON. The procedure went very well. My brother would not stop smiling and spreading the word of how his dentist brother changed his whole life. I also love the Block Out Material because my brother’s had really dark color on the enamel at the gingival. I could go on and on about the LUMINEERS and applaud the company on such a wonderful life changing program.”
