Techniques

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-two

After the patient is seated, treat the LUMINEERS with Porcelain Conditioner for 30 seconds.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-three

Rinse and dry well.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-four

Apply Cerinate Prime to the LUMINEERS for 30 seconds and blow thin.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-five

Blow Cerinate Prime thin.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-six

Place LUMINEERS back into the case box in their proper slots.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-seven

Clean the teeth with a slurry of Porcelain Laminate Polishing Paste and water.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-eight

Syringe Paint-On Dental Dam on lingual side of the interproximals covering the gums and teeth thoroughly (this aids in clean-up). Light cure.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-nine

Etch teeth for 20 seconds with Etch ‘N’ Seal, rinse and dry.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-ten

Mix together equal amounts of Tenure A and B.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-eleven

Apply 5 coats of the A-B mixture to each tooth, then air dry the tooth surfaces.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twelve

Syringe the Ultra-Bond Plus Try-in Paste into each of the LUMINEERS.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-thirteen

Gently insert the LUMINEERS one at a time and use a brush to clean up the excess Try-In Paste.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-forteen

Hold a mirror approximately 16 inches away from the patient’s face and let them examine their smile.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-fifteen

Use a Schure 349 instrument or cotton pliers and gently tease the LUMINEERS off the tooth surfaces.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-sixteen

Remove the Try-In Paste from the LUMINEERS and tooth surfaces with Tenure S. Only use Tenure S once the final Try-In paste has been selected to clean up excess.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-seventeen

Select the appropriate shade of Ultra-Bond.

NOTE: If patient has dark stains, such as tetracycline stains, we recommend the new BLOCK-OUT opaque system by Ultra-Bond.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-eighteen

Apply Ultra-Bond to the prepared LUMINEERS and put in place.

NOTE: Ultra-Bond will self-cure in approximately 22 minutes.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-ninteen

After placing, remove excess Ultra-Bond with a soft brush coated with Tenure S or with Dab-Eze sponges.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twenty

Clean up any leftover Ultra-Bond resin cement using bur G (or D).

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twentyone

Use DenMat’s schure 349 instrument to remove the cured cement along the margins, as well as from the interproximal area along both the facial and the lingual. You may also use bur G. This bur is an excellent tool for cleaning up residual resin cement and also great for finishing composites.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twentytwo

Use bur B to remove the porcelain ledge.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twentythree

Trim/polish the margins of the porcelain veneer.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twentyfour

Using the interproximal fine diamond bur F, known as the ‘mosquito’ diamond, refine the margins along the interproximal area.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twentyfive

Check the bite with articulating paper. Use bur E, the American football-shaped bur, on the lingual to finish the incisal wrap and adjust high spots or length.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twentysix

Place a wooden wedge interproximally (optional)

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twentyseven

Use the CeriSander (ultra-fine grit) to further smooth the interproximal surfaces. It is important that you use each sanding blade only two or three times to open contacts.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twentyeight

Check the interproximal surfaces with dental floss for smoothness.

Ultra-Bond-Plus-Resin-Cement-zabadne-twentynine

Polish the new smile with Porcelain Laminate Polishing Paste using polishing cup A.

What people say!

“Ultra-Bond Plus is my bonding cement of choice for all of my indirect veneer, inlay, onlay and all ceramic crown cases. As an auto-mix material, it makes dispensing a breeze. Its color stability and hardness make it the ideal cement for cases that need to last a lifetime.

Dr. Ian Schuman
Pasadena, MD

“We have been using the new Ultra-Bond along with the Tenure to seat our veneers and the results have been fantastic! We’ve really increased our lab ordering over the previous year. Last year we ordered $70 in lab work versus $1000 year-to-date.

Dr. K.
San Marcos, CA

“I love using the new Ultra-Bond Plus. It is easy to use with little waste. I love the fact that Ultra-Bond is simple, premixed, flows great, easy cleanup and proven to hold

K.R
DDS

“Ultra-Bond is a great product, it’s easy to clean up and has great strength.

Dr R.G.

“While I don’t restrict myself to any one manufacturer’s products for all clinical applications, I just wanted to acknowledge your company after observing how many of your products I keep coming back to and using for their reliability, ease of use, and biocompatibility. I have used a variety of cements for placement of laminates over the years, but I still love Ultra-Bond for its color-fastness (it doesn’t seem to stain as much) and its high bond strength. I have found it much easier to modify shades with this product than many others – especially using the shade modification system. This is another very versatile product

Dr. Richard Walicki
Philadelphia PA

“It is the best cutting agent that we have ever used. The application is so simple and there is no mess in using it.

Dr. Dickey
